Dental Assistant (Part-time)

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Part-Time Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in general dental assisting and committed to delivering outstanding customer service. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide excellent patient care are essential. Successful candidates may have the opportunity to work additional hours through cross-training in front-desk responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

- Greet patients and ensure they feel comfortable upon arrival.

- Prepare patients for treatments or checkups, ensuring their comfort throughout the process.

- Select and set up necessary instruments, equipment, and materials for procedures.

- Sterilize instruments following regulatory standards.

- Assist the dentist using four-handed dentistry techniques.

- Perform lab tasks as directed by the dentist.

- Provide patients with instructions on oral hygiene and post-operative care.

- Maintain a clean and organized dental room, keeping it well-stocked.

- Schedule patient appointments and manage records accurately.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Previous experience as a dental assistant.

- Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization methods, and health & safety regulations.

- Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks, such as coronal polishing (preferred).

- Proficiency in computer use.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

- Reliable and well-organized.

Job Details:

- Type: Part-time

- Pay: $17.00 - $27.00 per hour

- Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends as needed.

- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

- Experience: 1 year of dental assisting experience (preferred)
