Dental Assistant (Mandarin, Cantonese, or Spanish preferred)
Job Description
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with patient dental treatments by seating patients, providing the dentist with instruments and equipment, and mixing filling and impression materials.
- Clean, sterilize, and assemble instruments, supplies, and equipment for specific dental procedures.
- Prepare cast models by mixing materials, taking impressions, and pouring and trimming models.
- Take and upload oral radiographs for patient diagnosis and treatment.
- Record treatment results in patient dental records, instruct patients on oral care and appliance use, and provide necessary instructional materials.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
- Requisition dental supplies and equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance on instruments and equipment.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Education, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a dental practice or completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with patients and colleagues.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and email systems.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
