Job Description
Join our dynamic dental team as a Full-Time Dental Assistant, where your skills and enthusiasm will help create a welcoming, efficient, and patient-centered environment. In this role, you will support dentists during a wide range of procedures, maintain accurate patient records, and contribute to the smooth day-to-day operations of the clinic.
You’ll play an essential role in delivering high-quality care across general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics, while working in a practice that values growth, collaboration, and clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, organizing materials, and ensuring all equipment meets infection control standards.
Provide chairside assistance during procedures such as restorations, extractions, root canals, and prosthetic treatments.
Capture and process digital X-rays and 3D scans using advanced imaging technology while maintaining patient confidentiality.
Manage patient flow, including check-in/check-out, scheduling support, and accurate documentation within EMR systems (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix).
Record vital signs and assist with clinical documentation to support comprehensive patient care.
Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
Support pediatric patients by fostering a calm, friendly environment and assisting with age-appropriate care and communication.
Qualifications
Prior experience in a dental clinic with strong knowledge of assisting procedures and terminology.
Proficiency in dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; familiarity with additional EMR platforms is a plus.
Solid understanding of infection control, dental radiography, anatomy, and X-ray safety protocols.
Ability to assist across multiple specialties, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatrics.
Knowledge of patient privacy standards and medical record management (HIPAA compliance).
X-ray and CPR certifications preferred; additional credentials in pediatric dentistry or coding are advantageous.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour (based on experience)
