
Dental Assistant

Key Responsibilities:
Sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to strict infection control standards, using aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety
Assist the dentist during various procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix
Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans when needed, ensuring correct positioning and safety protocols are followed
Monitor vital signs and assist with medical imaging procedures to support comprehensive patient care
Manage inventory of dental supplies, ensuring sterile items are available and properly stored for daily use
Support front desk operations by coordinating patient flow and offering exceptional customer service when needed
Experience & Qualifications:
Previous experience in a dental clinic setting, with familiarity in dental assisting and sterilization procedures
Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control protocols to ensure safe practice
Proficiency in EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix; experience with Epic or similar platforms is a plus
Hands-on experience assisting in general dentistry or specialized areas like prosthodontics or pediatric dentistry
Ability to safely perform X-ray procedures while adhering to HIPAA guidelines for patient privacy and medical documentation
Familiarity with medical coding practices for accurate dental recordkeeping
Experience with digital imaging systems like iTero and Trios is a plus

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
