Dental Assistant

Smile Design Studio of Hyde Park is seeking an experienced Dental Front Office Administrative Assistant to join our growing team. This position goes well beyond a traditional receptionist role. We’re looking for someone with a strong understanding of dental front office operations, insurance processing, patient care coordination, and basic accounting. Key Responsibilities

Submit and track dental insurance claims to ensure timely reimbursement
Assist patients with financing options such as CareCredit and Cherry, in collaboration with the treatment plan coordinator
Handle accounting-related duties including balance collection, in-house plan management, and financial reconciliation
Maintain accurate patient records and process payments
Support daily front office operations to ensure smooth patient flow
Coordinate referrals, manage digital x-rays and imaging, and optimize scheduling for efficiency

Schedule (Full-Time)

Monday: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Tuesday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Wednesday: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Thursday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Friday: 7:30 AM – 2:00 PM

Compensation

$20–$30 per hour (based on experience)

Qualifications

Prior experience in a dental front office role required
Business, accounting, or finance background preferred
Strong mathematical and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and remain detail-oriented in a fast-paced setting
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Experience with Curve Dental and Romexis is a plus
