Dental Assistant

We are a specialty endodontic practice in the UTC/La Jolla area seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join our back-office team. This position is crucial to ensuring our patients receive top-tier endodontic care by supporting the doctor, maintaining a clean and efficient treatment area, and assisting with procedures. Dental Assistant – Endodontic Specialty Practice  
Location: UTC/La Jolla, CA  
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 8:30 AM – 4:00-4:30 PM  
Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour  
Immediate Start Available!  

Primary Responsibilities  
Chairside Assistance: Support the doctor during nonsurgical and surgical endodontic treatments, ensuring efficiency and a smooth workflow  
Treatment Room Turnover: Clean and prepare operatories between patients to maintain a sterile and organized environment  
Instrument Sterilization: Process and sterilize instruments during and between treatments following strict infection control protocols  
Record Keeping: Accurately document patient treatment details during and after procedures  
Supply & Equipment Management: Monitor and restock supplies, ensuring everything is readily available  

Secondary Responsibilities (as time allows):
Assist with general back-office maintenance and supply inventory  
Support patient logistics, including seating, dismissal, and comfort measures

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency  
Proficient in typing & computer-savvy – we are a paperless office!  
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work proactively  

Preferred Qualifications  
We welcome applications from recent dental assisting graduates and pre-dental students who are eager to learn! No prior experience in endodontics is required—we are happy to train the right candidate. An X-ray certificate is NOT necessary for this position.
