About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Greet and welcome patients, ensure comfort, and provide relevant education throughout their treatment journey.
- Health History Review: Conduct thorough reviews of patients' medical histories to ensure quality, individualized care.
- Diagnostic Support: Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments, including iTero 3D scanning and digital photography.
- Chairside Assistance: Provide four-handed dentistry support during various procedures, following state dental practice guidelines.
- Technology & Software: Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling, record-keeping, and other administrative tasks.
- Safety & Compliance: Prepare treatment rooms according to OSHA and CDC protocols, ensuring strict adherence to safety standards.
- Inventory Management: Manage supplies, maintain inventory, and expedite orders as necessary to support seamless workflow.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems and optimize office efficiency.

Qualifications:
- Required: Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology, experience in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment, and certification in dental assisting and/or x-rays (as required by state).
- Preferred: 1+ years of experience in a dental office, familiarity with Dentrix, and certification from a recognized dental assisting program.
Physical & Other Requirements:
- Ability to fulfill essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation, including extended periods of sitting or standing.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds.
- Availability for virtual or in-person training sessions throughout the year.
- Completion of a tuberculosis (TB) test is required prior to starting employment.
