Dental Assistant
Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to become part of our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our dental team, ensuring patients receive top-notch care in a comfortable and safe environment. This position requires a solid understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and effective medical documentation management.
Responsibilities:
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and ready.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation for patient records, complying with HIPAA regulations.
- Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to create a safe environment for both patients and staff.
- Perform medical imaging procedures as directed, including X-rays and other diagnostic imaging.
- Utilize dental software, such as Eaglesoft, for scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling billing processes.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
- Support the front office with administrative tasks as needed, including appointment scheduling and patient follow-up.
- Stay updated on advancements in dental procedures, technologies, and best practices.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is essential.
- Knowledge of prosthodontics is a plus.
- Experience with medical coding is beneficial.
- Must demonstrate proficiency in infection control standards and aseptic techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while providing exceptional patient care.

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
