Dental Assistant
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients as they arrive at the dental office
- Prepare patients for treatments or check-ups, ensuring their comfort
- Select and set up necessary instruments, equipment, and materials
- Sterilize instruments in accordance with regulations
- Assist the dentist using four-handed dentistry techniques
- Perform lab tasks as directed
- Provide instructions for oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Keep operatories clean and well-stocked
- Schedule patient appointments
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment processing
Skills:
- Proven experience as a dental assistant
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization procedures
- Familiarity with Open Dental software is a plus
- Understanding of health and safety regulations
- Ability to take alginate impressions and prepare stone models
- Competence in performing regulated non-surgical tasks, such as coronal polishing
- Proficient computer skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail
- Organized and dependable
- High school diploma; dental assistant certification preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected Hours: 36 hours per week
