Experience Required: Prior experience as a Dental Assistant is required.

Position Summary:

As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of dental procedures and assisting the dentist with all aspects of dental care. Your responsibilities will include taking diagnostic intra-oral X-rays, handling front desk and registration duties, and ensuring a smooth workflow within the dental office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Assist the dentist chairside across various dental procedures and manage patient behavior during treatment.

- Operate dental radiographic equipment to take diagnostic-quality X-rays, develop, and mount them as requested.

- Adhere to infection control protocols in line with professional, state, and federal standards.

- Provide patients with oral hygiene instructions following dental procedures.

- Comply with OSHA and other regulatory sterilization, infection control, and protective barrier guidelines.

- Document treatment and patient information accurately in the dental software system.

Required Skills and Abilities:

- Proficiency in assisting dentists in all phases of dentistry and taking diagnostic intra-oral X-rays.

- Strong organizational, administrative, and problem-solving skills.

- Effective communication with employees, community partners, and vendors.

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, exercising professional judgment and diplomacy.

- Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

- Culturally sensitive with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

Required Knowledge, Experience, or Licensure/Registration:

- Completion of a certified Dental Assisting Training Program is strongly encouraged.

- Current BLS CPR certification required before hire.

- Knowledge of dental materials and equipment, and proficiency in assisting the dentist.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred.

- Coronal Polishing and Sealants certifications are highly preferred.

Salary:

- Compensation is based on relevant experience and certifications. The range includes entry-level to experienced candidates.
