Dental Assistant
Job Description
At Dr. Drake’s Sleep Solutions, we specialize in enhancing patients' sleep quality through dental sleep appliances designed for those with snoring issues, sleep apnea, or CPAP intolerance. No prior experience in dental sleep medicine is required, as training will be provided.
Job Functions:
- Welcome patients in the reception area and guide them to the operatory.
- Review and ensure completeness of patient intake forms, obtaining necessary signatures.
- Input subjective and objective clinical data into the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Explain treatment benefits and potential risks to patients.
- Perform impressions, digital scanning, bite registration, and take pretreatment photos.
- Assist with lab communications, including shipping and tracking for appliance fabrication.
- Provide patient education, instructions, and collect signatures upon appliance delivery.
- Review follow-up care instructions, both short-term and long-term, with patients.
- Adjust appliances for proper fit and comfort.
- Handle follow-up phone calls, scheduling, and correspondence with patients as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Required Education and Training:
- Completed RDA Course
Required Certifications and Licensure:
- Current CPR Certification
- Current RDA Certification
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected Hours: Up to 40 per week
