Dental Assistant
Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and assisting our dentists with a range of dental procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain detailed patient records, including medical and dental histories.
- Assist dentists with procedures such as fillings, crowns, and extractions.
- Ensure a clean and organized dental environment by adhering to aseptic techniques.
- Accurately monitor and record vital signs and patient information.
- Apply strong knowledge of dental anatomy and infection control principles.
- Use Open Dental software to manage patient records and schedule appointments.
- Support the smooth operation of the dental practice with various tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of a dental assisting program or equivalent education and experience.
- Certification in dental assisting and x-ray certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification within a specified timeframe.
- Strong understanding of dental anatomy and procedures.
- Experience with Open Dental software preferred, or willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and stay calm under pressure.
- Adherence to infection control and aseptic techniques.
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus.
- Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and service.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected Hours: 16 – 24 hours per week
Experience:
- Dental assisting: 1 year preferred
License/Certification:
- X-Ray Certification (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
