Dental Assistant – Periodontal & Implant Specialty Practice (Manhattan)

Responsibilities
Assist periodontists during surgical and non-surgical treatments
Prepare, disinfect, and maintain treatment rooms
Sterilize instruments and ensure OSHA compliance
Take digital X-rays and CBCT scans
Prepare surgical trays and manage inventory
Support implant, grafting, laser, and periodontal procedures
Provide patients with post-operative care instructions and oral hygiene education
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and chart notes
Help create a positive, efficient patient experience
Qualifications
Previous dental assisting experience preferred
Experience in periodontics or oral surgery is a plus, though training is available for the right candidate
X-ray certification required
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Professional demeanor with a positive attitude
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and team-oriented mindset
