Position: Orthodontic Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and engage patients with warmth and professionalism
Ensure patients are comfortable and well-informed throughout their visit
Take and process X-rays, impressions, and intraoral photographs
Prepare and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments
Provide chairside assistance during orthodontic procedures
Document care and chart patient records accurately
Support the orthodontist in evaluating and executing treatment plans
Perform routine duties such as adjusting appliances and cleaning orthodontic gear
Maintain a clean, sterile, patient-focused work environment
Ensure full compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, Dental Board, and other regulatory standards

Qualifications:

Minimum 6 months of hands-on experience as an Orthodontic Assistant
CPR or BCLS certification required
Completion of a CODA-accredited dental assisting program (preferred)
Strong technical skills and comfort with dental software systems
Ability to place brackets, fit bands, tie arch wires, and take high-quality impressions
Fast learner with excellent problem-solving abilities
Professional, ethical, and discreet with patient information
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Punctual, reliable, and eager to learn and grow
Solid knowledge of dental terminology and clinical procedures
