Position Overview:

As a Dental Assistant at Harris Dental, you’ll play a crucial role in our clinically focused culture. You’ll work closely with our dentists, connect with patients, and strive to enhance their experience, making you a vital part of our practice’s success.

Key Responsibilities:  

- Assist dentists during various treatment procedures while ensuring patient comfort  

- Set up and break down the operatory after treatments  

- Take dental radiographs (x-rays)  

- Manage infection control by preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment  

- Provide patients with follow-up instructions post-treatment  

- Educate patients on effective oral hygiene practices  

Qualifications:

- Dental Assistant Certificate (as required by state regulations)  

- X-ray certification (as required by state regulations)

Working Environment & Physical Requirements:  

This position is in a clinical setting, with potential exposure to hazardous waste and blood-borne pathogens. It requires prolonged periods of standing, sitting, and bending for up to 8 hours a day. The role may involve carrying and using tools and equipment, with the ability to lift up to 15 pounds.  

Job Type: Full-time  

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour  

Schedule:  

- 8-hour shifts  

- Day shift  

- No nights  

- No weekends
