Dental Assistant - Expanded Functions
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to support our dentist in providing high-quality care to patients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with clinical procedures, managing inventory, maintaining sterilization protocols, and ensuring smooth office operations. You will also collaborate with the office staff to ensure a positive environment and efficient workflow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients upon arrival and monitor their check-in times.
- Escort patients to treatment rooms and ensure proper setup for procedures.
- Make patients feel comfortable and provide care and concern throughout their visit.
- Obtain and review patients' health histories according to office protocol.
- Ensure medical consultations, radiographs, and health histories are up-to-date.
- Stay with patients throughout their treatments and escort them out when treatment is complete.
- Anticipate and assist the dentist’s needs at all times.
- Mix dental materials and assist the dentist in the delivery of care and treatments.
- Answer all patient questions thoroughly or direct them to the appropriate team member for further assistance.
- Accurately chart patient information, including dates, services rendered, and any changes to the treatment plan.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Dental Assistant program.
- Experience in oral surgery or sedation dentistry is required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a dental assistant.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $27.30 per hour
