Cortland Hygienist

Cortland Smiles is seeking a compassionate and motivated Dental Hygienist to join our team in either a part-time or full-time capacity. As a locally owned practice serving the Bucktown community of Chicago, we are committed to providing exceptional, patient-centered dental care in a welcoming and professional environment.

Led by Dr. Ruchi Nagpal, our practice offers comprehensive preventive, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry services, including Invisalign® and aesthetic/therapeutic Botox®. We pride ourselves on building long-term relationships with patients while delivering personalized care for individuals and families of all ages.

We are looking for a team-oriented hygienist who is passionate about patient care, oral health education, and clinical excellence.

Responsibilities

Perform oral health assessments and educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care
Assist in diagnosis and provide periodontal charting, prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing
Take digital X-rays and assist with digital imaging/scanning
Schedule patient recall appointments
Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards
Collaborate with dentists and team members to ensure a positive patient experience
Assist with additional office responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

Current Illinois Dental Hygienist license
Current CPR/BLS certification
Understanding of HIPAA privacy regulations
Friendly, professional, and patient-focused attitude
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with Dentrix Ascend, digital imaging/scanning, and nitrous oxide delivery is preferred but not required

Compensation & Benefits

Pay: $55.00 – $63.00 per hour
